Faucet, Sink and Garbage Disposal Repair in Las Vegas
Repair and Replacement of Faucets, Sink Plumbing and Disposals
A dripping faucet, a leak at the base of a faucet, a sink that drains slowly or a garbage disposal that hums but will not turn needs attention. Dripping faucets can waste water, under-sink leaks can damage cabinets, and sink backups or disposal problems can interrupt everyday use.
DMS Plumbing repairs and replaces existing kitchen and bathroom faucets, sink plumbing and garbage disposals for homes and businesses throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Call (702) 353-7335 and tell us what you are seeing.
CALL FOR FAUCET OR DISPOSAL REPAIR Call to Schedule ServiceFaucet Problems We Repair
- A faucet that keeps dripping after it is turned off
- Water leaking around the handle or at the base of the faucet
- Low flow from one faucet while other fixtures are normal
- A handle that is loose, stiff or hard to turn
- A sprayer or pull-down hose that leaks
- Water under the sink near the faucet connections
If the water is coming from under the sink rather than the faucet itself, see our under-counter leak repair service, which covers supply lines, shutoff valves (angle stops) and sink connections.
Repair or Replace the Faucet?
Many faucet problems can be fixed by replacing worn internal parts. Replacement makes more sense when the faucet body is cracked or corroded, when parts for that model are not available, or when the same problem keeps coming back. The plumber checks the faucet and explains which option fits before any work begins.
Sink Drain and Under-Sink Leaks
A sink that drains slowly or backs up is usually a drain problem, not a faucet problem. Our drain cleaning service covers kitchen, bathroom and utility sink clogs.
If you find water inside the cabinet, the leak can be at the faucet connection, the supply line, the shutoff valve, the drain or the disposal. The plumber investigates the source before recommending a repair. If the shutoff under the sink will not stop the water, our guide When a Sink or Toilet Shutoff Valve Will Not Stop the Water explains what to do.
Garbage Disposal Problems
- The disposal hums but does not turn
- It shuts off or will not start
- Water leaks from the bottom of the unit or from its connections
- Water backs up into the sink when the disposal runs
- Grinding or rattling noises
- Repeated clogs in the kitchen sink
Repair or Replace the Disposal?
A jam or a loose connection can often be fixed. A disposal that leaks from the bottom of the unit itself often needs to be replaced, and replacement can also be the better choice when the unit is old or the same problem keeps returning. The plumber explains what was found and the options before any work begins. If the problem turns out to be the outlet, switch or wiring rather than the disposal, that is electrical work, and we will tell you.
What to Do Before We Arrive
- Turn the disposal off and leave it off if it hums, smells hot or will not turn.
- Never put your hand inside the disposal.
- Do not pour chemical drain cleaners into a sink or disposal.
- If water is leaking from the faucet or its supply connections, close the shutoff valve under the sink if it turns easily. Do not force a valve that is stuck. If the valve does not stop the water, use your main water shutoff.
- If the leak is coming from the drain, the disposal or the pipes below the sink, closing the supply valve may not stop it. Stop using the sink, dishwasher and disposal until the leak is repaired.
- In an apartment, condo or other shared building, contact building management or the emergency maintenance line instead of operating shared valves.

Faucet, Sink and Garbage Disposal FAQs
Can a dripping faucet be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
Many drips can be fixed by replacing worn parts. If the faucet body is damaged, parts are not available or the problem keeps returning, replacement may be the better choice. The plumber explains the options before any work begins.
My garbage disposal hums but will not turn. What should I do?
Turn it off at the switch, do not reach inside, and call (702) 353-7335.
Water is leaking under my sink. Should I close the shutoff valve?
If the leak is coming from the faucet or its supply connections, closing the shutoff under the sink can stop it if the valve turns easily. Do not force a stuck valve. If the leak is from the drain or the disposal, the supply valve may not stop it, so stop using the sink until it is repaired.
Do you work on commercial sinks and faucets?
Yes. We provide residential and commercial service plumbing throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
